A Guide to Home Restoration

Home Restoration – Zen Maintenance of Your Brick Sidewalk

Below is a list of contractors and retail stores that have been used with good results by members of our Association. For more detailed information, please contact the appropriate HWTA resident listed below. Consult your HTWA directory or contact a Board member for phone numbers. The Harbor Walk Townhouse Association does not recommend, vouch for, or endorse the contractors and vendors listed on this page. Remember that approval from the Board is required in advance of most exterior changes.

Notes

1. (Electrical fixture repair at Annapolis Lighting) This is one of several local firms that can rewire and refurbish the electric light fixtures on the fronts of HWTA homes. This approach is strongly preferred over replacement with non-matching fixtures.

2. (Paint at Budeke’s) This is a good source of supply for the 28 Benjamin Moore brand paint colors that are pre-approved in the Architectural Guidelines for use on front doors and window trim.

3. (Paint at McCormick’s) This is the source for paint in the Old Carriage Brown (#223) color. This color is not part of McCormicks current color palette, but they will mix it for you on request. This is the only approved color for use on rear doors, garage doors, metal railings, wood trellises, etc.

4. (Window glass replacement by Eastern Plate Glass or Caplan Brothers) This is an economical approach to repairing clouded or broken window panes without the expense of replacing the entire window unit.

5. (Window replacement by Pella / K.C. Company) Several residents have had success in replacing their front windows with Pella products from the location at 12100 Baltimore Ave in Beltsville. Note that full Archtitectural Committee application is required.
